Everything about this whisky is rare, from the age, the amount bottled, the proof, but most importantly because of the wood used to age it. The Balvenie is one of the extremely few historic distillers left in Scotland that maintain their own in house cooper. And with the influence of oak on whisky, each cask unique, you could say this is obviously a seriously important investment. It is what has set them and this whisky apart for over a century. For over half a century Ian McDonald has mastered his craft to ensure only the best quality casks are used, in this Spanish Sherry Oak specifically. Very limited.
