Mars Iwai Tradition Wine Cask Finish Japanese Whisky

In this ongoing series from the great Mars brand, the family uses their high malt blend distilled and aged at the Nagano distillery and finishes a batch in select wine casks, a perfect match for this high malt whisky. This release was finished in casks from the local Yamanashi Winery also owned by the Hombo Family bringing everything full circle. The total in-house nature of this expression naturally lends the whisky a perfect balance and distinct flavor profile with stand-out notes of red fruits, warming spices and buttery pastries. Limited.
