1792 Astor Select Full Proof Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey - 2016

Distilled and filled into barrel on February 5th, 2016, the whiskey was then aged undisturbed for 8yrs and 5 months on the 7th rick of the third floor of Warehouse 2 at the Bardstown campus in a single heavy char #4 barrel from Independent Stave Company. Bottled July 24th, 2024. The full proof bottling elevates the profile of the whiskey to a level of complexity that we've come to expect from this brand that rivals some of the rarest labels out there and completely annihalates them when it comes to value. The high rye mash is showing off on the aromatic side of the whiskey with deep notes of oak spice, resin and hints of smoke while the palate turns sweeter and approchable even at this proof with flavors of cherry pie, molasses, toasted pecans and pure vanilla.
