Rittenhouse Astor Select Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey - 2020

A long awaited and very welcome first time - after years of patience we have our very own hand picked single barrel of rye from this historic brand. Distilled and barreled on February 11th, 2020 and bottled a full year after it crossed the bonded threshold on February 17th, 2025. Aged at the Bernheim campus on the 5th floor of Warehouse 1G. Lots of savory and sweet baking spices mingle on the nose with an underbelly of late summer peaches and early autumn fruits. The spice comes full circle on the big finish as a reminder why this has been the go to Rye brand for generations since the end of Prohibition.
