It was universally praised for the amount of depth and flavor even for a whiskey that young then. So the fact that this 8yr single cask is the youngest in our current portfolio of Astor Select Willett exclusives truly blows our minds. Proving their deft hand with this notoriously difficult style of whiskey has continued to develop with the years, this bottling has a profile has an uncanny essence of old apricot brandy. It's something you'll only find in very high quality American Rye aged in New American Oak casks. A true unicorn cask in its own special way that is fleshed out with additional notes of chai tea, honey, ginger candy and graham crackers. Barrel No.9391 bottled uncut at a natural barrel proof of 52.7% abv. with a total yield of 178 bottles.
