The cherry on top of what is the crown jewel of single barrel Astor Select offerings from this year - this is our oldest age statement in the lot, Rye or Bourbon and it may technically be just a year over some of the other selections but the difference shows in the intensity of flavors here. Soft, supple and polished, with a core of dark fruits, woodsy notes, chocolate, espresso and roasted pecans. If you fashion yourself serious about whiskey then you know you cannot pass up on this bottle. Barrel No.9498 bottled uncut at a natural barrel proof of 58% abv with a total yield of 151 bottles.
