Aelred Coiron Jaune is a vibrant, golden-hued liqueur crafted by the esteemed Aelred Distillery in the heart of Central France (Drôme Provençale). This historic spirit is the result of a meticulous blending process, combining around fifty distinct plants, flowers, barks, and spices that are carefully infused, macerated, and distilled before being sweetened with the natural goodness of honey. To date this is the best (nearly perfect) substitute for yellow Chartreuse we have found and it is fitting that it comes from another esteemed French distillery not too far away. Excellent as a classic digestif but shines equally as well in the cocktails calling for yellow Chartreuse like the Alaska, Bijou, Naked & Famous, and Greenpoint to name a few.
