Real Minero Astor Batch LAM Edition Ensemble Still Strength Mezcal - 2024

A historic release - the first commerically available made from agaves nurtured under the family's non-profit LAM program. We are beyond honored to be entrusted with this privilege to offer this priceless mezcal to a wider audience. The aromatics are explosive right out of the bottle but as with all natural and still strength mezcals like this, it will only further bloom with time in glass to air out. It is hard to tell what is more impressive the 15 year organic Barril or the 10 year old rare espadin penca cortas harvested in this near 50/50 blend. The palate is equally split with striking notes of sweet herbs and ripe fruits followed by a mouth-watering mineral finish and flavors of simmering chiles. We hand picked this batch on-site at the palenque in January of 2025. A total yield of 80 liters for this batch.
