Tasting Notes
Situated just a stone’s throw away from the Slovenian border, Edi Keber’s 10 hectares of vineyards grow on the classic ponka soil, a stony, friable marl that gives the wines remarkable weight and body. This is a full-bodied, rich white wine.

Staff Pick Notes
This is a superb white that conjures up the rolling green hills dotted with flowers in the Collio region. This is Italy's eastern most territory that shares historical ties with Slovenia and Austria (over the years changing empires moved the borders multiple times and they retain common cultural traditions). One of the area's unique features is its "ponka" soil, a collage of stony marble which gives the wines a distinct mineral character. Edi Keber is a well known producer who showcases the best of Collio's sub regions in his wines. This bottle is an aromatic blend of the region's principal whites grapes: Friulano, Malvasia and Ribolla Gialla. The nose has fresh herbs and jasmine, and on the palette notes of peonies, green pears and citrus. Surprisingly fuller bodied in weight. Pair it with white fish and spring vegetables.

The grape that benefits most from the...
