Tasting Notes

Established in 1893, this domaine is now run by the sixth generation of family members. This is a pure and clean expression of Grüner Veltliner with stone fruits and flinty minerality.

Staff Pick Notes

It's hard not to love a good glass of Grüner and this example, by Buchegger, is fantastic! The grapes for this wine all come from the Gebling vineyard, a First Growth, or Erste Lage vineyard. Gebling is considered one of the finest vineyards in the region, but you won't find the prestigious Erste Lage stamp on this bottle. The Buchegger estate simply does not charge enough money for this wine to earn the right to put it on their label. That's good news for us because it makes this wine a great value. With a beautiful sparkling reflection, the wine shows aromas of grapefruit, pineapple, and flinty minerality. All while crisp, bright acidity keeps your mouth watering for more. Cheers!
