Staff Pick Notes

This pure Trousseau captures that sweet spot of freshness with some depth. Not to mention a stylish sense of terroir. Made from 29 year old vines grown in limestone soils in the Côtes du Jura. It's light enough to be served chilled, but has a lively character to it. Tasting it is an explosion of fresh, punchy alpine berries atop mossy earth. A good acidity keeps it smooth and food complimentary. Hearty sausages and roasted fare work wonderfully here. Ideal cheese pairings would be Gruyere and Comte. It is a wine that seems right all year round. It immediately brings to mind the comforting coolness of Spring and Autumn. However, you could just as well enjoy a chilled glass on a hot evening over light fare or on the coldest night of the year with a wintry feast.
