This family run winery covers 27 hectares of limestone, clay, and fossil rich soils located in the hills of the San Pietro in the Cariano valley of Verona. A richer style of Amarone made from 75 year old vines. The wine ferments in steel tank then ages for 32 months in new wooden barriques and 6 months resting in bottle.

Staff Pick Notes

This is classic Amarone with aromas of blackberry, chocolate and spice. It's concentrated, balanced, and not overwhelming. The acidity and tannins are well integrated. The producers are very respectful of the land. Their vineyards are surrounded by wild vegetation, which creates a perfect ecosystem for insects to protect the vineyard. The fertilizers used are organic and mineral based, specifically potassium and magnesium. They believe that sustainable production is necessary to preserve the quality of the wines that they produce. This wine is asking to be paired with lamb and matured cheeses. Simply delicious!
