Staff Pick Notes

Lioco is owned and operated by husband and wife team: Matt and Sara Licklider. Started in 2005 with the intention to make wines that capture individuality, rather than over-blown, market-driven wines that trend from time to time. They source grapes small, like-minded growers across Sana Cruz, Sonoma and Mendocino counties. If you are in search of Chardonnay that is clean and abundant with character, never 'oaky' or 'buttery' look no further! Fragrant fruit like yellow peach and lemon balance with a smooth chalky minerality. This wine is delicate enough to note soft floral notes like jasmine flower or Thai basil, but do not mistake this as boring. The longer I sat with this glass , the deeper the notes of lemonheads and tart lime came to life. The people at Lioco are truly top notch!! Treat yourself to a bottle and share with friends

It is a flexible, eager-to-please grape, responding well to just about anything a winemaker...
