Dry but fruity .....

Irouléguy is a small band of hillside vineyards in the Pyrénées within the French Pays Basque. “Ohitza” is made from 80% Tannat and 20% Cabernet Franc.The wine is aged in three year old barrels for twelve months. Farming practices are non-intervening and include bio-dynamic principles with harvesting done manually. This pretty ruby color wine has an enchanting aroma of ripe strawberries and ripe red berries. Here we have another surprising balance of dry but fruity. This means it technically is dry with low sugar levels, but the flavors of tart cranberry and ripe strawberries shine.
