Staff Pick Notes

A singularly significant vintage marking the families of Tim and Marcia Mondavi’s 100th consecutive harvest. ‘Continuum’ refers to the family’s journey in wine beyond the Robert Mondavi Winery. Since 2012, the grapes come entirely from a single estate on the Vaca Mountain Range perched over Lake Hennessey with coastal influence from San Pablo Bay. Considering the neighborhood includes Bryant Family, Colgin, and Ovid (to name a few), this is the best value coming from “Pritchard Hill.” Power and grace. The highest percentage of Cab Franc to date. The entry on the palate reveals dark fruit, with youthful black mulberry, savory wild sage, and bay laurel from the estate’s flora. A generous decant is appreciated but not necessary. 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Cabernet Franc, 7% Petit Verdot, 6% Merlot.
