A well-defined white wine with ripe fruit and citrus aromas on the palate. The chardonnay grapes were hand-harvested and pressed whole-cluster into barrels for fermentation. Aged in a combination of mostly American oak (15% new) and French for 15 months.

Staff Pick Notes

When I am in the mood and need that Californian style big Chardonnay this is my favorite of them all and my go to wine in this category. Also I am already looking forward to my first Thanks giving meal and this wine will be a perfect companion to my roast turkey and mash potatoes. It has an amazing nose of creamy vanilla pod and florals. The butter and cream are perfectly balanced with a lively acidity. Also beautiful orange and tangerine citrus notes are present in a subtle abundance. The palate finishes beautifully smoothly with a hint of sweet oak. Ridge really have produced an impeccable classy wine which you need to try to appreciate. I personally can't wait for my next glass. Cheers Stephen W.
