Bacchus "Ginger's Cuvée" Pinot Noir - 2021

Item # 23682 750mL

Sometimes oak can really get in the way of the fruit showing through in a Pinot Noir. This is not the case here. This is a completely unoaked style that’s light, fresh, and bursting with raspberries on the nose and palate.

Staff Pick Notes

This delightful Pinot Noir is punching way above its weight class. It delivers a bouquet of beautiful red fruits on the nose: cherry, pomegranate, raspberry, and tart red plum. The wine is fruit-forward with light touches of earth, red licorice, and cedar spice. Ginger's Cuvée is light and lifted on the palate, with a lingering, balanced finish driven by fruit and bright acidity. It's an extraordinarily versatile wine which pairs fantastically with a range of dishes, from baked salmon to roast chicken and duck. Light tannins mean it works well with fish, and it's my go-to wine for a nice cheese plate after a long day! Tribeca Grill wine director David Gordon sourced grapes from the very best vineyards in California to create this special cuvée in honor of his daughter, Ginger. A sweet story and a winning wine at an excellent price!

California makes more wine than any other state in the United States. Not only does the state grow a variety of noble grape varieties like Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, there are also plantings of lesser-known varieties such as Nebbiolo, Roussanne and Mourvèdre to name just a few.
