This adorable single serving saké is from the Osaka Prefecture in Southeast Japan. When fresh from the fridge the flavors are compact, but it opens up nicely as it adjusts to room temperature. Try it cool, but don't drink it too fast - or buy two! This saké is well balanced with both sweet & savory elements. The aromas and flavors include watermelon rind, fennel, and rice cereal. The liquid is of medium weight, but has enough body to stand up to fried dishes like squid or frog legs. The smaller size is a plus if dining alone or if you want to experiment with several types of saké throughout the course of a meal. Plus, I was really excited to find a product with my name on it!! Kanpai!!
