Barolo, Bartolo Mascarello

Barolo, Bartolo Mascarello - 2014

Item # 26169 750mL

When Bartolo Mascarello passed away in 2005, his daughter Maria-Teresa took the reigns. She is as stubbornly traditional as her father. The family's solitary Barolo somes from vines located in Cannubi, Rue, San Lorenzo, and Rocche vineyards. The Cantina's wines are all about patience. The result of unchanged procedures:extended maturaion and maturation in large botti, this nebbiolo is austere, reserved, revealing earthy tar, licorice and crusehd roses after ageing in bottle. Decant for early consumption.
