Centesimino is a native varietal of Romagna, also known as Sauvignon Rosso. The clever name for this grape, cultivated at least since the 1950s, comes from the nickname of a gentleman who grew a well-known patch of vines. Centesimino, means "Little Cent" or "miserly" in the local slang. This is an inky, dark wine, floral with black fruits on a well structured palate. Notes of blueberry dominate with a gorgeous ripeness. A food-friendly acidity demands a plate of pasta with sausages or salty cheeses to complement. This wine was vinified in stainless steel tanks with only indigenous yeasts.

That charming wine from Ancarani still lives with me and reminds me to savor and enjoy each and every new wine experience. This delightful red wine from Ancarani is produced from an indigenous variety to the are near Rome. Savignon Rosso. Expect a vibrant inky red color and a long sipping supple texture, but far from a heavy wine, I enjoy this glass best Chilled from the fridge and drunk casually with snacks. The natural fermentation and classic styling make this rustic red a relaxing glass for any night of the week.
