Staff Pick Notes

David Namias, the master distiller behind Namias et Fils, knew as a young man that one day he would make the same eaux-de-vie his parents had made. David grew up in a small Moroccan town, south of Taznakht, where his family was famous for making one of the best eau-de-vie in Morocco. After 25 years working as a software engineer, David and his wife, Doris, decided to jump into the spirits business. They revived David's family recipe of Mahia, an eau-de-vie made with fresh figs and a touch of anise. The result is a very fine and delicate spirit. First, you will be charmed by sniffing it, then you will be captivated by the beautiful fresh fig flavor, almost candy-like, and the subtle anise that comes towards the end. Try it and you will always want to have a bottle ready at home!
