Located in the Rio Negro Valley of northern Patagonia, Piero Incisa della Rocchetta, from the renowned winemaking family of Tenuta San Guido (Sassicaia), focuses on producing high-quality Pinot Noir. As the name suggests, this wine is made from old vines that were planted in 1932. A more complex Pinot Noir that can be aged for a good 10 years.

This is, without a doubt, the finest wine I have ever tasted from South America. Period, end of story. It would be hard to imagine a better one, too, but I have a feeling we'll continue to see gems coming out of the Chacra's barrel room and aging gracefully.
