St. George NOLA Coffee Liqueur

Item # 31474 750mL

Leave it to Lance Winters and the amazing team at St. George to completely upend a category and create one of the most delicious things we have ever tasted. Top sourced Ethiopian Yirgacheffe beans are roasted by local Oakland outfit Jewel Box. Everything is then cold brewed and ingeniously infused with chicory root, Madagascar vanilla, and a touch of organic sugar. Absolutely great any way you want to drink it. Don't be surprised if the bottle is done shortly after popping the cork.

Staff Pick Notes

This is easily my favorite coffee liqueur. St. George manages to capture the essence of a beautiful cup of New Orleans style coffee by using Fresh roasted Ethiopian Yirgacheffe beans, French chicory root, and Madagascar Vanilla beans that seamlessly combine to produce an incredibly multi-layered, sophisticated liqueur. Dark roasted coffee flavors provide immediate pleasure, then rich hazelnut and earthy, bitter chicory linger on the finish to produce a fresh and elegant sip. This drinks beautifully straight but also works incredibly well in cocktails. Try this cocktail called a Revolver: 2oz. Bourbon, 0.5oz. NOLA Coffee Liqueur, 2dsh Orange Bitters. Stir with ice, strain into a coupe glass, and garnish with flamed orange twist. (Recipe by Jon Santer)

Glossary

California

California makes more wine than any other state in the United States. Not only does the state grow a variety of noble grape varieties like Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, there are also plantings of lesser-known varieties such as Nebbiolo, Roussanne and Mourvèdre to name just a few.
