Tasting Notes

Rosé Cava made from the local red Trepat grape variety. This sparkling wine is fruity with red berried aromas and is dry on the palate and with a fine bubble. This is an ideal apéritif wine that would work well with a seared tuna with caponata.

Staff Pick Notes

Rosé Cava made from the Trepat grape in Penedès, Spain. Cava is made in the same way as Champagne, with the second fermentation in the bottle. The aging requirements are not as strict, though. Dry, delicious Cava is an excellent Champagne alternative. The best examples are aged on the lees (the spent yeast cells used in fermentation) and show complexity to rival that of the best Champagnes.
