Michelberger Mountain Herbal Liqueur

Item # 35186 750mL

Made at the last remaining of the PSM distilleries of Berlin this herbal liqueur made from a long maceration of herbs, roots, botanicals and spices that are double distilled in pot stills and aged for several months in earthenware vessels. The spirit displays an incredible vividness of flavors that slowly reveal themselves as the initial soft round textture peels away and the spirit opens up to a bright lively acidity. Some of the ingredients and flavors include lemon peel, juniper, coriander, lemon balm, sage, fennel, caraway seed, anise and peppermint. Drinks like a great otherworldly gin without the sharp edge of alcohol.

Staff Pick Notes

One sip of this amazing German herbal liqueur and you will feel like you're standing at the top of a snow covered mountain on a clear blue day with cold wind against your face. Peppermint is just one of the many herbs, roots, spices and other botanicals used, providing a refreshing coolness that just screams winter. I could drink this bad boy on it's own, but I'd also recommend trying it as an alternative to gin. The beautiful artwork on the bottle makes this a great and unique gift, but maybe it's time to treat yo' self instead.
