Glencadam 15 has gone from strength to strength since a packaging facelift in 2009 when it was upped to 46%. An undersung distillery, Glencadam is now starting to stretch its wings and poised to do great things in the future. Right now they are producing very good value whiskies. The color is pale gold and the nose is salty, delicate, and charming. The palate shows cut grass, and a mouth-watering malty profile. The finish is medium length with a restrained sweetness caressed by soft oak.

History:Distillation was brought to Scotland from Ireland by missionary monks in the 6th century. In 1644, the first taxes were imposed on Scottish distillers by England, with the result that most of the nation’s whisky was soon distilled illicitly.
