Easily one of the wildest spirits we have ever carried but in the hands of the master Capovilla this completely one-of-a-kind spirit that may sound bizarre in description is absolutely delightful on the palate. Vintage Amarone Riserva is carefully infused with tobacco after distillation and rested for five years before bottling. Notes include candied apricot, salted butter, carmelized apples, spicy tobacco and earthy honey. A mind bending dram that would match excellently with a meat and cheese plate.

Is it too much to keep staff-picking products by Vittorio Capovilla? This is my 4th, but all of his products are that good! He's also a former Formula 1 engineer and mechanic. It shows that his energies are honed toward ambition, perfection and imagination. This new concoction is a tobacco infused Grappa. After infusion, it sits in barrel for 5 years, allowing the flavors to mature and evolve, but never letting the inherent character of the Grappa get lost. This is the kind of skill you would expect from someone with his abilities and experience. Pungent aromatics abound! Ripe, hearty fruit, salted caramel are just a few, while the palate is a shape shifting array of earth and spice. The finish is complex and goes forever. Very special stuff.
