Staff Pick Notes

Brooklyn Kura has made quite a name for itself as the first sake brewery in New York State, with founders Brian & Brandon dedicated to bringing thousands of years of Japanese tradition to us here in NYC and beyond in an accessible way. They've done so well that in 2021 they entered into a long term partnership with iconic brewery Hakkaisan in Niigata to continue experimenting, creating, and sharing their passion for sake. Number 14 was Brooklyn Kura's very first release and has stayed popular for good reason. This is a beginner-friendly sake, brewed with yamada nishiki rice and fermented cold and slow. This brings us a bottle that's incredibly crisp and refreshing with notes of fresh melon, white peach, and a clean dry finish. Swap your bottle of rose and bring this to the park this springtime to pair with fresh fruit and Brie cheese.
