Since the winery was taken over by Patrick Andanger a couple of decades ago, the estate of La Pousse d'Or is going through an extraordinary transformation not only in the cellar but in the vineyards themselves. Staff Pick Notes

This richly aromatic Chambolle-Musigny offers a glimpse of the complexity and finesse that rewards those who take the time to properly age Pinot Noir. This village-level bottle from the Côte de Nuits is drinking beautifully right now. Vibrant red raspberries and cherries marry with herbaceous underbrush and forest floor. Subtly spiced fruit aromas meld into early flavors of dried fruit. Patrick Landanger has been at the helm of the domaine since 1997, and in 2013 his son Benoît joined him in the winemaking duties. This is the only village-level wine that they produce, and is a fantastic introduction to their winemaking style. The debut of the family team producing at this historic estate is very special indeed.

Fans of rich, unctuous, and well-oaked Chardonnay will enjoy Chassagne-Montrachet, whose age-worthy offerings offer all the fatness of a California wine, yet retain a very Burgundian, mineral-driven core and great acidity....
