Just when you think you know a lot about wine, you taste this impeccable bottle from a vineyard in Venice. Not from the typical Venice you may be thinking about but rather from one of the many islands that flock the lagooned area. Specifically, this comes from the vineyard in Mazzorbo - the quaintest of islands. Made from a grape thought to have been extinct, the Dorona. Gold in color with aromas of white pepper, saffron to begin. The Dorona grapes were macerated for well over a month making this an orange wine yet one that's phenomenal in quality. Unoaked.
