Tasting Notes

Broc Cellars turns out this easy drinking red wine made from a blend of Carginan, Syrah and Valdiguié. Made to be light and quaffable, it's a delicious thirst quencher. Even better when it's slightly chilled. Fermented with native yeast and a bit of SO2 at bottling. Broc Cellars is located in the heart of Berkeley and has become a stand out producer in the new wave of California winemakers.

Broc Cellars produces clean, complex, excellent natural wines out of their Berkeley winery. All wines are naturally fermented and all grapes are farmed without synthetic herbicides, pesticides, or fertilizers. The Love series was introduced to offer an every day wine that still stands up to their values and beliefs regarding natural wines - minimal intervention and sustainable farming. The blend changes from year to year as they source the best grapes they can find from sustainable farmers. The 2018 is a blend of mostly Carignan with Valdiguié and Syrah. It is bright, juicy, and delicious. Tart cherry and pulpy raspberry tied up with ribbons of sweet spice. The epitome of "glou-glou." We could all use a little extra Love right now.
