Staff Pick Notes

Riesling may be Germany's most famous grape, but don't overlook the hard to pronounce, yet still noble, Gewurztraminer. If you're looking for a tasty sweet wine, this one's for you! The floral and spicy aromas and off-dry nature also make it a dream pairing for spicy fare. I grabbed this bottle of Darting Gewurz Kabinett to have alongside a spicy peanut sauce and sweet squash, Thai-inspired pizza. The slight sweetness of the wine cut through the heat of the sauce. Its flavors of ginger, dried apricot, and honey worked wonderfully with the coriander, squash and bell pepper. Yum!
