German reds do not get much love, so I am here to give them some. Germany might be the last undiscovered region for Pinot Noir, and like Pinot, the vast majority of German Reds are on the light-bodied side. This Trollinger is no exception. Clocking in at a delightful 11% ABV, this is the perfect chillable red, but also a wonder with foods of all sorts, from cheese to salads and lighter grilled offerings. Bright, with a dry finish, with pure fruit and no barnyard or cider notes to speak of.
