Il Verro is a winery, started by 5 friends who met as teens in the 1960s. Some 40 years later, they reconvened in their childhood town of Alto Casertano to maintain a farm of 14 hectares of olive, walnut, and cherry trees and 4 hectares reserved for vines; all wildly rare indigenous grapes. Pallagrello Bianco is a full bodied white wine, with a light gold color in the glass. On the nose herbs like Thyme are plentiful. On the sip, soft notes of peach and citrus lead and a savory quality like farm fresh honey lingers. A truly exquisite bottle!
