Staff Pick Notes

Falanghina is a white grape variety that grows in Southern Italy, especially near Naples. It has Greek origins. It has been used to make wine since the ancient Roman times. Nifo Sarapochiello winery has been producing wine since the 18th century in the Sannio region, in Campania. The current producer, Lorenzo, is third generation in his family. He studied viticulture. Since 1998, he practiced organic viticulture. The vines are 20 to 30 years old with a lot of exposure to the sun. The soil is calcareous. When you sip this wine, you can notice ripe fruit flavors such as banana, pear, pineapple and smooth vegetable notes. Full of flavors, I would pair this wine with a cheese plate. Delicious!
