Staff Pick Notes

Vranac is not a very well known indigenous grape from Montenegro. It's planted also in Bosnia Herzegovina, where this wine is from. Fun fact: the region Illyria was inhabited by the Illyrians from the 10th century BC. They used to practice piracy on roman shipping. Later Illyria became a Roman province. It is now a rural area full of sun and beautiful Roman ruins to visit! This wine is medium to full body and delicious with aromas of cherries and strawberries. In the palate you can enjoy plum flavors followed by spices, a delicious earthiness and minerality. Delicious at an affordable price I would pair it with grilled meat.
