The wine spends eight weeks macerating with 10% whole-clusters and chestnut flowers. Unfiltered

Production Methods

Practicing Organic

Wine made from grapes grown without synthetic pesticides, fertilizers and herbicides in the vineyard.

Orange Wine (Skin Contact)

Orange wine is made by using white wine grapes, which are pressed and left in contact with the skins, seeds, and stems for an extended period of time, similar to how red wine is made.

This prolonged maceration extracts color, tannins, and phenols, giving the wine a darker, sometimes orange color. It also produces a wine with more structure and intense flavor.

Maceration times can vary between a few hours to many months, with longer contact giving more color and extraction.

Staff Pick Notes

"Doralice" loosely translates to "gift" in Greek, and for good reason. There's something special about this skin contact white, It's profile is nuanced due to the addition of crushed chestnut flowers, adding complexity. The subtle nuttiness dances in perfect harmony with its innate tropicality. A welcoming wine, with elements which could easily be appreciated by many, and may be among few orange wines I would recommend for groups as a crowd pleaser. "Doralice" is an organic wine crafted in Portugal's famed Vinho Verde DOC, a unique and modern addition to more common expressions from the region, making for a unique conversation starter. This cloudy sea of Louriero truly begs uncorking upon first confronting its misty apricot hue. Sip at your leisure, or hear this wine sing when paired with harvest greens bathed in ginger carrot purée.

They also show their terroir quite clearly, and represent a great alternative to the modern fruit-driven style. Vinho Verde is Portugal’s most famous white wine. Literally translated as "green wine," it...
