Soave Classico Otto, Prà - 2024

In the past Soave had a less than stellar reputation. A flabby white wine, with low acid and little personality. Garganega today is having a renaissance moment and Otto is great example of this change! This a delicious wine from Veneto. Using 100% Garganega, the grapes are picked from different parcels of different ages, from 30 to 70 years old. The soil is volcanic. All these components create body, texture and rich flavors. You can smell flowers aroma like jasmine and green apple. On the palate almond and citrus flavors are followed by a crisp minerality and a pleasant acidity. A delicious wine that can be drunk as an aperitif but also pair well with different dishes such as seafood or roasted chicken.
