The Seméli Estate was founded in 1979 and the Peloponnesian vineyards sit on high altitude slopes filled with ancient cypress trees and olive groves. Vines are shielded by the mountains where, according to Greek Mythology, Hercules performed his first great feat - the slaying of the Nemean lion. This salinity driven white wine, made from the indiginous Moschofilero grape, is a hero in it's own right. Fans of crisp Sauvignon Blanc or Sicilian whites should take a chance on this Grecian bottle, just like the gods did on Hercules. It boasts mouthwatering acidity, zesty sea salt and citrus, and a clean finish. Aromatic notes of white flowers and fresh thyme draw you in and beg you to pair this mythical bottle with tinned scallops in spicy olive oil.
