Single Malt whisky aged a quarter century or more used to be relatively common to see and relatively affordable when you wanted to splurge on a special occasion. Not only are those days gone but getting them from the likes of Linkwood, whose single malts are always extremely rare in the first place, would be near non-existent. That's a big part of what makes this release so exciting. If Diageo released this themselves these days it may cost nearly 4 times more. The other part that makes this so special is the whisky is so incredibly good!. This is the last of inventory and very limited.

History:Distillation was brought to Scotland from Ireland by missionary monks in the 6th century.
