This may be the most promising of all the current whisky focused distilleries operating out of Japan, and especially so amongst the new crop that have sprouted in the past decade. The limited releases like this one that are trickling out continue to impress more and more. Ritto was made from lightly peated spirit that was aged in a combination of sherry casks and very very old mizunara oak grown locally in Japan. Bottled at 55% abv.
