Staff Pick Notes

Until the fifties, Corte Mainente was producing wine only for local use and the production of grain and animal farming was the main business. After that, the company decided to produce only wine. Ugo, the son of the original owner, Virgilio, studied viticulture and viniculture and brought knowledge and experience to the company. Corte Mainente is a blend of Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave. The wines are planted on steep terraces and they are about 70 years old. The soil is a mix of limestone and volcanic fossils. As a consequence, this wine is full of flavor and texture: very aromatic, on the nose you can notice citrus, white flowers and herbs. In the palate it's nutty with citrus notes as well, melon and a bright acidity. Delicious!
