McCarthy's 6yr PX Sherry Cask Finished Oregon American Single Malt Whiskey

Easily one of the most significant American Single Malt releases to date, not only because of the quality but because of the culmination of the life's work of Steve McCarthy that it also represents. The Godfather of American Single Malt made Clear Creek the pioneering distillery it was back when he opened it in 1985 and helped inspire the movement for this style of whiskey. His signature peated malt is tamed a bit by the Sherry casks and turned more towards notes of smoked hickory, joined by bramble berries, molasses, cloves and nutmeg. With the iconic Maltnomah Falls on the front label, this whiskey speaks to the vision of Steve McCarthy and the great potential he saw in American Single Malt. Aged in rare, local Oregon Oak and PX Sherry Casks, bottled at natural cask strength. Limited Edition.
