Staff Pick Notes

The vineyards used for the wine lies in an area called Guarilihue in the greater Itata area. It's the oldest wine making area of the New Word: vines have been planted since 1551. The area benefits from maritime influence They are are grown on slopes with a good sun exposure. They are old vines and all the management is made manually. As the label says, the vines are ungrafted. That's means that are not modified. Most of vineyards used for wine production are made up of two different plants spliced together. I my opinion, this is is a great moderately priced everyday wine with peppery and spicy notes, smooth minerality, medium alcohol and freshness. Versatile, it could be paired with many foods.
