Never one for half measures, Asunción Vargas distilled this mezcal in a way only a master could, with two distillations instead of three, finishing the mezcal in the second run with the addition of wild hare and homemade mole. The flavors lead with classic agave notes but then the deep complexity of the mole takes over with layered yet still subtle notes of chocolate, nuts and myriad spices that build to a crescendo on the palate. Limited to only 48 bottles for the entire batch. Distilled in 2020.
