Rhum J.M 15yr Very Old Vintage Rhum - 2003

This tiny distillery located in the far northern tip of this French island in the shadow of the active Mount Pelée volcano and with cane fields facing the sea a mere stone's throw away, the time honored agricole style rums produced here are some of the most sought after in the world. For their vintage releases, the distillery digs deep into their oldest stocks from their best casks bottling what is some of the oldest agricole available in the world. Completely tropical aged on site at the distillery, by the time the rum is drawn from these casks over 70% of the spirit has been lost to the angel's share leaving a tiny bit of precious golden nectar, bottled at cask strength, to be treasured. This current release was created exclusively from rums distilled in January of 2004 and aged in ex-Bourbon barrels on-site prior to bottling in 2020 at a natural cask strength.
