Item # 49970

From a renovated farm that has been owned by the same family since 1850, Bruce Murray purchased the property in 2007. This lithe, light-bodied blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot is easy drinking, with a black pepper and ref fruit aroma. Pair this dry red with Cornell chicken.

Staff Pick Notes

The time is now for a delicious dry red blend from a more brisk climate. A light-to-medium body that achieves easy drinking, showing just the most wonderful touch of pepperiness and red fruit. Structured beautifully. Like Ai Wei Wei's priceless Han Dynasty ceramic urns shattered to bits, this Cab Franc becomes akin to a product of Kintsugi, adding a touch of Merlot, caulking in empty spaces with gold. The complimentary symbiosis is noticeable immediately. In the spirit of breaking boundaries, pour a glass, (Translation: carafe) alongside a screening of "Dangerous liaisons" and convince your plus one to whip up a ratatouille caponata.

Cabernet Franc

Cabernet Franc has remained close to its roots in France, enjoying small pockets of popularity primarily in the Loire Valley (specifically in Chinon), where it is often bottled as a varietal wine, and in Bordeaux where it is still used in moderate percentages in the typical blends. In fact,...
