A botanical triple sec with a base of barley, corn, and rye distilled in copper pot stills, this is macerated with sweet and bitter orange, pomelo, tangerine, lime, orange blossom, lavender, cardamom, tuberose, and black pepper. This is the Triple Sec that had been missing from my life! The Margarita is one of the great cocktails of the world, but far too often the only main ingredient that does not come from Mexico is the Triple Sec. The entirely women owned and operated team behind Azar Spirits (Gabrielle Weiss & Ali Holzer) perfected a blend of Mexican citrus and botanicals locally sourced from individual farmers. For example all of the citrus is from a single family farm in Veracruz hand peeled right before production. These include both sweet & bitter oranges, pomelo, tangerine, lime, and of course the orange blossoms! The heart of the fruit is then donated to the community. Hints of cardamom and other spices balance the fresh citrus while agave nectar gently sweetens the palate. It is time to create the greatest Margarita the world has to offer!

Flor is a protective layer of naturally occurring yeast that grows, under certain circumstances, in the barrels after fortification. Its presence (or absence) is what determines the style of a given Sherry. When it does grow, it protects the wine from oxidation while feasting on the available glycerin - the resultant Sherries are thus dry and very pale in color (called Finos or Manzanillas).
