A special reserve bottling of the beloved Alpine amaro, this spends at least 36 months aging in Slovenian oak barrels. Infused with wormwood, gentian, yarrow, and juniper, this has aromas of balsamic vinegar, sweet spices, herbs, berries, and resin. Long a sought after once a year limited bottling that could only be picked up on trips to Europe, this is one of the most premium amaro in the world and it is finally here in very limited quantities.

In the world of amaro, producers are often hesitant to change their formulas or production methods for fear of throwing the delicate balance that holds concoctions together. Thankfully for connoisseurs, the team at Braulio has cracked (but not broken) the mold with Braulio Riserva Speciale Amaro, an aged expression of the legendary Piedmontese amaro. To make the Riserva, master blender Edoardo Tarantola Peloni (the great-grandson of founder Dr. Giuseppe Peloni) ages the original infusion of 20+ mountain herbs and botanicals including gentian, juniper, wormwood, and yarrow, for 36 months in Slovenian oak barrels. The result is simultaneously rich and bright, with aromas of balsamic vinegar and baking spices, and a palate that’s both sweet and herbaceous. Tradition just got a well deserved upgrade.
