Caric, Bogdanjuša - 2025

Vina Caric was founded by Ivo Caric in 1993, in the tiny village of Svirce on the island. Ivo's vineyards are located all throughout the island of Hvar, and do well to showcase the differences of terrain and soil from area to area. The winery works particularly hard to represent the island's unique biodiversity and plethora of indigenous grapes. Bogdanjusa is a dry white wine varietal cultivated almost exclusively on the island of Hvar in Croatia. It is remarkably light in body and reminds me of Pinot Grigio in many respects. There are notes of peach, green apple, lemon, and some slight floral and herbal undertones as well. A unoaked wine that works well with a nice chill and pairs well with all manner of seafood, particularly oysters. Don't forget to pair this with wine with your next sushi platter too!
